Spark your teen’s imagination this summer. This enrichment program is great for teens (9th-12th graders) who wish to develop their creative writing skills, or who are curious about creative writing and don’t know where to begin. All skill levels are welcome.

The workshop covers:

• Craft lessons and exercises (character, plot, pacing, scene work, world-building)

• How to live and think as a writer

• Workshop-style discussions: share your story with the class & receive feedback

• Instructor feedback and office hours

• Advice and resources for publishing & youth contests

Students will leave the workshop with at least one revised short story or novel excerpt that they can be proud of.

Capped at 8 people, this workshop will allow students to develop their work with close attention from the instructor and their peers.

In-person sessions meet on Tuesdays 3-5 PM PT in San Francisco (location TBD, but expect a public, quiet space in the SUNSET DISTRICT).

Online sessions will meet on Thursdays 3-5 PM PT via Google Meet.
